Half a century in a single discipline is not a marketing line, and you can hear where it went. Cheap kits lurch off and slam to a stop. This one lets you shape the movement: how hard it pulls away, how fast it runs, how early and how gently it eases down as it comes into the closed position. Set properly it glides and settles, and that is the whole difference between a gate that sounds expensive and one that sounds cheap. If the power goes off, a key release at the motor lets you push the gate by hand in a few seconds — and with the battery module added it keeps working through a blackout, or runs on solar entirely if there is no mains near the gate. Two remotes come in the box, good for about 100 m on a coin cell that lasts a couple of years, and the board will hold up to 200 of them.
