A note on colour accuracy Screens render colour differently to steel. The swatches shown here are a close digital representation only — always confirm your final selection against a physical sample before your order goes into production. Working to an architect's specification or a colour outside this range? We can quote a custom powder coat match on request. Our finishes are architectural polyester powder coats supplied in the COLORBOND® steel standard colour range — the same colour names you'll know from your roof and fencing, applied as a powder coat to fabricated steel rather than roll‑formed sheet. COLORBOND® is a registered trademark of BlueScope Steel Limited.
See it on steel
A flat swatch tells you the tone. Seeing it wrapped around a frame, rails and uprights tells you how it will actually read at the front of your home.

Good to know
An architectural‑grade TGIC‑free polyester powder coat, applied to prepared steel and oven‑cured in‑house at 200°C object temperature. It meets AAMA 2603, AS 3715 and Qualicoat Class 1, the recognised architectural benchmarks for exterior‑durable powder coatings. Because coating happens under our own roof rather than at a third party, we control the preparation, film build and cure.
Yes. Every colour in this range is included in your product price — there is no premium for choosing a darker or more unusual tone. Colours outside this range can be quoted as a custom match.
Our colours come from the COLORBOND® steel standard colour range, so they're the same colour names specified on your roof, gutters and fencing, and they sit alongside them beautifully in practice. That said, a powder coat on fabricated steel and roll‑formed COLORBOND® sheet are different products with different surface textures and gloss levels — treat the swatch as the reference rather than expecting a laboratory‑identical match. If an exact match matters, hold our physical swatch against the actual sheet in daylight before you commit.
We dispatch within two business days of receiving your request. Most metro addresses see them within a week; regional and remote deliveries can take a little longer.
Six covers almost every shortlist. If you're specifying a whole property or working across multiple homes, get in touch and we'll work through the shortlist with you.
This is worth a straight answer. Deep tones like Monument, Night Sky and Ironstone look superb, but they absorb considerably more heat and they carry the highest pigment load — which means they are the colours that work hardest under Australian sun. On a gate copping full northern or western exposure all afternoon, a dark finish will show its age before a mid‑tone will. Dark surfaces also get genuinely hot to touch, which is worth thinking about around children and pets.
None of that means don't choose them — plenty of our best work is Monument. It means choose them knowing how your site behaves. If you tell us the orientation and how much shade the opening gets, we'll tell you honestly whether we'd pick that tone ourselves, and where a mid‑tone would hold its look longer. That conversation is part of the job.
Eventually, to some degree — every exterior finish on earth does, and we'd rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. We use an architectural‑grade coating certified to AAMA 2603, AS 3715 and Qualicoat Class 1 precisely because it holds colour far better than a general‑purpose finish, and we apply it to specification every time. That is the part we control, and we stand behind our workmanship.
How long a finish looks new, though, depends on things no manufacturer or fabricator controls: how much direct sun the opening gets, its orientation, how close you are to salt air or industrial fallout, sprinkler overspray, and how often it's washed down. The Australian sun is brutal, and it is hardest on dark and heavily saturated colours. For that reason we don't put a time‑based warranty on the powder coat finish — we're not willing to guarantee an outcome that depends on conditions at your place rather than work done at ours. Our 10‑year warranty covers the structural side: the fabrication and welding of the steel itself.
What genuinely extends the life of the finish is simple upkeep — a wash down with clean water and mild detergent a few times a year, and more often if you're near the coast. Skip it and the finish will dull faster than it needs to.
