Australian Made Steel Posts
Your panels get the compliments. Your posts decide whether the line still runs true in twenty years. This is a 100 × 100 × 3mm galvanised Australian steel post, supplied with its colour-matched cap — ready to carry fencing, balustrades, privacy screens and gates, and hold every one of them exactly where you set it.
Structure
A run is only ever as true as the posts behind it — fencing, balustrade, privacy screen or gate alike. Ours are cut from 100 × 100 × 3mm galvanised Australian steel and supplied in extended lengths for concreting in-ground, so the post is anchored well below the surface. Set properly, it holds the line through wind load, clay movement and decades of weather.
Complete Kit
Every post arrives with a colour-matched snap-on post cap finished in the same powder coat as your panels — sealing the top of the section against water and finishing the line properly. No mismatched black cap on a Surfmist run, and nothing to chase up once the concrete is in.
Longevity
Posts sit where water sits — at ground level, against concrete, in the weather. Ours start as galvanised steel, then receive our Four-Stage Bonded Powder Coat in your choice of 26 premium colours. Protection underneath, colour on top, and a finish that holds its lustre through Australian summers and coastal air alike.

Choosing Your Post
Post size is a structural decision, not a style one. Taller and wider panels carry more wind load, and gates carry more again — so both the section and the length change with the job. Here is how our post lengths line up with our standard panel heights.
| Post length | Suits panel height | Post above panel | Concreted below ground |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1690mm | 940mm | 70mm | 600mm |
| 1970mm | 1200mm | 70mm | 620mm |
| 2250mm | 1500mm | 70mm | 600mm |
1800mm and 2100mm lengths are also stocked for gate posts, sloping sites and custom panel heights.
Installation
Dig a minimum 600mm deep hole and concrete the post in, bringing it plumb with a level and bracing it until the concrete goes off. In reactive soils, go to a minimum 900mm for added stability. Once cured, snap the colour-matched cap into place.
That's it. And if anything about your site is unusual — a slope, a tight boundary, an awkward corner — call us before you start. We'd rather spend ten minutes on the phone than have you buy twice.
Why Mason & Dean
Mason & Dean is founder-led. The people who answer the phone are the ones who started the business and drew every profile in the range, so the advice you get is first-hand rather than read off a screen. Every post is made in our Tamworth workshop, colour-matched to the fence panels, gates and balustrades it supports, and backed by our 10-Year Warranty.
Posts rarely get chosen on their own. If you're still finalising the run, browse the matching fence panels, balustrades, privacy screens and gates that these posts are built to carry — all finished in the same 26 premium colours.
