— North Haven Balustrade Panel —

For the People
Who Know.

Slim vertical slats. A single architectural mid rail. The proportions that have defined the classic Australian home for a century — done properly, in real steel, for the buyer who recognises the difference at a glance.

01

The classic profile, done in steel

Slim vertical slats at a tight 50mm rhythm, broken by a single architectural mid rail — the proportions you recognise from the homes that get the look right. Where most of the market approximates this profile in hollow aluminium, the North Haven holds the line, the weight and the substance that make it read as the real thing.

02

The mid rail. The detail most skip.

A single horizontal mid rail splits the slats into two clean architectural fields. It's the proportion decision that separates the considered designs from the rest — small enough that the casual buyer won't ask for it, deliberate enough that the right buyer won't accept a panel without it.

03

Built once. The way it should be built.

Welded at every joint in our Tamworth workshop from premium Australian steel. Finished with our Four-Stage Bonded Powder Coat. No bolts, no kits, no flat-pack. The North Haven is engineered for buyers who'd rather pay once for something done properly than twice for something done cheaply.

— The point —

You either see it,
or you don't.

The difference between the North Haven and the panel beside it isn't loud. It's in the proportion of the top rail. The line of the mid rail breaking the vertical rhythm. The slim slats sitting at a tight 50mm. The weight of the steel when you put a hand on it. The depth of the colour in a finish that hasn't been thinned down to a price.

Most buyers won't see it. They'll order the aluminium panel that looks close in the catalogue, pay less, and live with something that quietly underwhelms every day for a decade.

The buyers who do see it order the North Haven. They know what the classic Australian profile is meant to look like. They know what proper steel feels like under hand. And they know the difference is worth paying for — once — for a home they're not planning to compromise on.

— Why steel, not aluminium —

The Difference
You Can Feel

Most balustrades on the Australian market are aluminium — light, hollow, and built to a price. Here's why ours feel completely different.

North Haven Steel Balustrade Aluminium Balustrade
Feel & substance Solid, weighty, unmistakably real — the kind of substance you notice the moment you touch it. Hollow, lightweight, with a thin, tinny feel under hand.
Flex under load Minimal deflection. Stays rigid even with the daily lean — the kind of barrier you actually trust. Noticeable flex and movement, particularly across longer spans.
Impact & wear Resists denting, deformation and the daily knocks that come with real family life. Dents and deforms easily — a stroller, a piece of furniture, a fallen branch.
Construction Welded at every joint in our Australian workshop. No bolts. No kits. No flat-pack. Typically bolted, riveted or pressed together — the failure points show themselves over time.
Origin 100% Australian made in Tamworth, NSW — designed, welded and finished under one roof. Most are mass-imported and built to a generic spec.
Finish & colour Four-Stage Bonded Powder Coat in 26 premium colours — applied in-house to architectural specification. A thin decorative coating applied over factory paint.
Design presence Architectural, considered, high-end. Reads as serious craftsmanship from across the room. Visually thin, generic — the look of a builder-spec inclusion.
Lifespan Designed to outlive the home it's installed on. Backed by our 10-Year Structural Warranty. A replacement cycle, not a lifetime purchase.
Guidance & support Talk directly to the team who designed and welded it — sizing, posts, hardware, installation. Reseller staff with limited insight into how the product is actually built.
— Custom raked panels —

Made for staircases,
on request.

For raked staircases and angled spans, we manufacture custom raked North Haven panels to match your exact pitch — engineered, welded and finished to the same standard as our standard panels.
