The cross brace isn't a detail. It's the structure.

Set across the solid lower panel sits the signature Winslow move — a single, honest 75 × 25 RHS cross brace, welded corner to corner. It's not ornament. It's the language of barn doors, stable gates and the working entrances of properties built to last more than one generation. Carried here in heavy galvanised steel, set into the kind of leaf you actually have to lift to swing. A welcome that announces itself in one diagonal line.

Behind the cross, a full steel backing sheet — not slats, not gaps, not a peek through to the front lawn. Real privacy. A real edge between the path and the home. Welded at every joint in our Tamworth workshop from premium Australian steel — 75 × 75 RHS gate sides, hefty 75 × 50 RHS top, mid and bottom rails, 75 × 25 RHS cross brace, solid steel backing panel. Finished with our Four-Stage Bonded Powder Coat. No bolts. No flat-pack. A statement gate, made the way a statement gate should be made — once, properly, by people who care that it'll still be standing when the trees behind it are full grown.

The Winslow is a substantial leaf — heavier than any other single gate in the range. For a clean swing and a latch that lines up properly, we recommend a minimum 100 × 100 mm heavy-duty steel post and matched heavy-duty hinges. We supply the full range to suit.
